Title: Dim SSR4
Post by: tthompson on November 20, 2012, 04:56:52 pm
I have my SSR4 built and all 4 channels are dim.

I am running through an etherdongle and the lights come on/off, but not in a timely manner.

I am using incandescent mini 50 count bulbs so there should be plenty of resistance.

I don't see an octocoupler and the triacs are all brand new in the latest kit.

any suggestions?

I would check all of the solder joints and reflow them just to be sure.

What software are you using to test?  You might make sure that is working as expected first.

re-flowing did not do anything.

I tried another one as well with the same results.

I am using vixen to test via the etherdongle.

I will take another look at these again after I get the rest of my lights up.

Always waiting till the last minute gets you every time.

Check and make sure that you didn't set a max output in Vixen.  I would try another software such as XLights to test them just to make sure.
