Title: Express v2 to v4

I have 16 Express v2 boards and parts that I never put together. A friend is interested in helping me, which gets me back into the mode of automating my lights.

Since I have all the original parts, unassembled, should I just assemble them? Or should I order v4 boards and build them? Is there a big improvement from v2 to v4?

Hi,

This is the list of changes from v1 to v5 of Lynx Express unit. (v5 is the latest Express board version).

I would consider just building your 16 units as they are functionally the same as a v5. Otherwise you'll have to check what components were added/deleted/changed from v2 to v5 and order more parts accordingly.

Thanks Leo. Looks like most of it is the same. Do they both use the same firmware?

Yes just use the latest firmware
