Title: Fatal error: Call to a member function next()
Post by: TexasStingray on April 21, 2013, 08:23:52 pm
Just and FYI, I get this on the bottom of the mail page:

Fatal error: Call to a member function next() on a non-object in /home/rjordan/public_html/chat/info_embedded.php on line 40

Yes we are all seeing that.

Its an error because the Flash Chat room has crashed. It needs to be fixed by RJ who is busy working on firmware updates among other things and its at a lower priority at this time.

It bothers my ODC but I am learning to live with it for the time being.

Something I am confused about.

What I do on the site and wiki, I am doing it for my enjoyment and education. I don't see how anybody including RJ owns me anything.
Most members help in each their own way, some do coops, others help new members by answering questions and even go to them to fix a problem. Everyone provides their time and teaches each other. I see everyone has different skill sets and we are all enjoying learning and helping.

I do appreciate what is being said but its not needed.

Many thanks

Maybe you don't feel that it is needed, but there are always a few (and I mean few!) that go above and beyond... and you my friend are one! Thanks for what you do..

I definitely agree that everyone contributes in their own way and it makes the site and the community that much better. I think it would be to much for one person to accomplish all of the things that go on around here. Hardware development, web hosting, COOPs, troubleshooting, etc, etc.....

I definitely appreciate the team environment here and enjoy helping when and where I can.

You and me both - in case it wasn't obvious! That's why I can bring it up.
