DMX Servo Controller
Please read this post completely before participating in this Coop.
For any information on any of this equipment please refer to the proper forum and ask your questions there to keep this coop forum clean and easy to follow.
This coop will have two items to offer. The manual, bom, etc, may be found in the WIKI (http://diylightanimation.com/wiki/index.php?title=Equipment).
This project is is described here (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=4835.0).
Item 1 - DMX Servo Controller kit with PCB
This kit includes the PCB and all components. It does NOT include a case or wireless module (it optionally uses a standard Lynx EX/RX module). The PIC will NOT be programmed; you will need a pickit2, pickit3, or equivalent programmer to program the PIC.
In 50-piece quantities, the cost will be $21
Item 2 - Bare DMX Servo Controller PCB
This is just the PCB for the servo controller; order it if you want extra spare boards.
In 50-piece quantities, the cost will be $3.40
Pricing includes PayPal 3% and Coop 3% fees. As always, higher numbers reduce pricing and lower numbers increase pricing. Change your order as you wish during the ordering portion of the Coop, but please make sure I can tell what you are changing. Please check the order list that follows to make sure I don't miss your order or any changes as the Coop continues.
The coop will run until August 30th at 8:00 pm E.S.T. or until we hit 100 kits.
US shipping will be in regular USPS flat rate boxes. Many units will fit in a small box.
By joining this Coop you also agree that the Coop manager, DLA (as a board to also include all administrators, moderators, and members) shall not be held for any liability. You are joining this Coop at your own risk.
As with any Coop this Coop is subject to the forum rules. These rules can be reviewed using the following link:Forum Coop rules (http://diylightanimation.com/index.php?topic=111.0)
Post in this thread the number you want. You will get a pm when the coop closes letting you know how to pay for your coop items.
Thank you for your participation in this coop.

Jamie
-
Mine arrived today as well. Any gotchas in assembly for newbies?
-
Thank you Mike Great job, Jess
-
Two assembly notes:
- The plastic mounting pegs for the RJ45 connectors can be a bit tight in the holes. I had to shave a little plastic off the inner edges of the pegs for an easy fit. An x-acto knife or a little hit with a file will do it.
- The electolytic caps have their leads spaced 0.1" apart. The holes in the board are 0.2" apart. When you insert the cap in the board, bend the leads to fit or have the caps sit about 1/4" above the board. It won't affect performance at all.
/mike
-
Thanks for the note Mike!
-
Received mine in sunny Los Angeles yesterday. Thank you for the great coop. :)
