Title: What kind of lights are these?....
Post by: Jasonlnlv on December 01, 2014, 01:54:05 am
I'm still very new - even after a few years and still just have Express units and regular lights - but what kind of lights are being used in this video - mostly of the flat part of the roof - displaying scrolling text and some videos and pictures....

Might need to build up to this - But was very cool and like my daughters favorite movie... Deck the Halls !

Thanks,

Jason

Ok, that house is just crazy cool.  I would never tear that down, would take all of fall and part of summer to put it back up again

So with pixels are they nets of lights or just straight strings? and is that what the SSC's control?

The ones that we use are straight strings and yes, that is what the SSC's control.  They can be configured into a grid pattern and then software such as Nutcracker will allow you to do what you saw in your video but you are talking about a LOT of pixels to do this which equates to a lot of money.
