The link to the splitter bom does not work anymore. I clicked on it and it brought me to an error page.

Yup its broken. I did check the rest of the mouser links and they are working. Have to wait for RJ to give us the updated link.

I noticed that too, but I still haven't figured out if I need one yet.

Was thinking about ordering the parts for one with the dongle parts, depending on cost.

As post above requested I figured I would let you guys know that my splurged is working great and was very easy to build.
