I set up a short test program in Vixen when I clicked play I get the following messages
Enttec DMX USB Pro:
(Router-Startup)
Access to the port'COM5' is denied
When I click OK I get the message below
Plugin error
Access to the port'COM5" is denied
Execution has been stopped
I have tried restarting Vixen & opening the saved sequence & the program freezes up & will not run.
I have downloaded the drivers & Net frames The computer recognizes the Dongle. Set up profile in Vixen in the profile manager. So what am I doing wrong?

Verify what Com port windows is assigning to your dongle and set Vixen to match it.
When you plug your dongle in do the red and green leds come on or flash. If the green one flashes how many times does it flash.

I have set the right Com Port
When I plug the Dongle in the red light comes on constant & the green light does NOTHING
I do not have anything hooked to the dongle still waiting on the 1st coop express to ship.

Hi Mike
Try this little program I wrote to test for the Dongle and what com port its connected to.

There is no install, you just unzip it and run the program.
See if it finds the com port. If not than the drivers are not correctly installed

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the com port issue but did you flash the Pic?

I sent it out to be done.

Rick
After running your program below is a screen shoot of the results. Does this mean the drivers are OK & my soldering maybe at fault>

If you have not resolved your issue I had the same thing & my pic was not programmed correctly. I went ahead & bought a pickit3 & fixed it. You should have both green & red LED lit when connected. Then Vixen will stop freezing & you can test channels & the green LED should change intensity as you change the slider bar in Vixen.
