Using the TX/RX units how directional is the antenna? In other words how much off a straight line will these work or is the transmitting & receiving 360degree. Just trying to figure out where I need to locate the transmitter so 3 RX receivers will work OK .
Thanks Mike

Somewhere on the forum is a picture... it is a double doughnut shape radiating from the antenna. Best coverage is obtained by having the TX at least 6 foot off the ground and keeping the receivers low so that they are in the lower doughnut. The tx should be oriented with the wires coming out of the bottom of the box.

It is 360 around but it is stronger to the front and rear than the sides.

From the tech data...
With the board oriented as shown in the first picture, the radiation pattern is indicated in the second picture. The more red, the stronger the signal in that direction.

what is the distance they can received ??? few feet of few 100 feet?
thanks

I had an express with an EX/RX that was over 100 ft from the TX. It worked fine. I think that line of sight is well over 500 ft but I don't know that for sure.

The range depends... it operates in the 2.4Ghz range, which is used for all kinds of things, the most popular being wifi...
Each of the three selectable universes is on a different freq, so if you get poor performance on one, you can try using a different one.

Greetings,,,
You can change the UNIverse jumper to change between the 3 different frequencies. Look at the pics in the wiki manual.
