I would like to use the DMX splitter outdoors but I noticed the power transformer has the following operating temperature specs. I live in SD where it can get down to -30C. Should I be worried or is there a modification I could make to change this?
Operating Temperature Range: 0 C to + 70 C

Bump
I know somebody has the answer and they are not installing lights today. :)

Well mind you that is just the suggested operation temperature. I would suggest with the current weather why don't you give it some testing before show time.

My freezer might be zero at best. I was hoping for testing below zero. I looked at other power transformers but none showed any temperature specs. My guess is that they might generate a little heat so they would be ok. Worst case I could use an Express as a two way splitter as I know the V5 units work way below zero as they did last year.

An idea would be to buy a small string of incandescent and put a few of the bulbs inside the case. This would serve as a small heater just in case it did get below what the transformer was able to operate at.
Just an idea if a guy needed to be sure.

Good idea. I have the case like the picture in the wiki and it's very tight. I do have a larger case that I might have to do something like this with a C9 or two inside.
