This Co-Op is for the Wireless EX/RX and TX/RX ver 2 kits.

This Co-Op is for Kits that will include the PCB with parts or parts only.
Kit #1 - TX/RX Parts Only **** CLOSED FOR THIS COOP - NOT ACCEPTING NEW ORDERS ****
Kit #2 - TX/RX Parts and PCB **** CLOSED FOR THIS COOP - NOT ACCEPTING NEW ORDERS ****
Kit #3 - EX/RX Parts Only **** CLOSED FOR THIS COOP - NOT ACCEPTING NEW ORDERS ****
Kit #4 - EX/RX Parts and PCB ***** CLOSED FOR THIS COOP - NOT ACCEPTING NEW ORDERS ****
Kit #5 - TX/RX Enclosure (Case) ONLY - This enclosure is pre-cut to fit the TX/RX and includes mounting screws. **** CLOSED FOR THIS COOP - NOT ACCEPTING NEW ORDERS ****
There will be no PCB only options in this Co-Op.

The Co-Op will be limited to 50 kits of each type.
This Co-Op will close on March 15, 2012 at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time zone or when it fills its limit of 250 kits.
Full Payment is expected when the Co-Op is closed. All members will receive PMs or be directed by post with details on how to pay once the Co-Op closes.
Please get your PayPal payments in as soon as you get the Co-Op invoice PM as no orders can be placed until all payments have been received.
By joining this Co-Op you also agree that the Co-Op manager, DLA (as a board to also include all administrators, moderators, and members) shall not be held for any liability. You are joining this Co-Op at your own risk.

Here is the pricing breakdown based on the initial quote from the vendor.
Pricing is in US Dollars and includes PayPal and Co-Op fees.
We have a base goal of 50 kits. This goal allows the cost per unit to drop low enough to make it cost effective to run the Co-Op. Below this number, we will not make the order.
Kit #1 TX/RX Parts ONLY
Per Kit At Qty 50 - $37.21
Kit #2 TX/RX Parts and PCB
Per Kit At Qty 50 - $41.64
Kit #3 EX/RX Parts ONLY
Per Kit At Qty 50 - $21.19
Kit #4 EX/RX Parts and PCB
Per Kit At Qty 50 - $25.61
Kit #5 TX/RX Enclosure ONLY
Per Kit at Qty 50 - $7.38
This is an estimate. As always higher numbers reduce pricing and lower numbers increase pricing.
Shipping will be by US Postal Service Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes. One to two kits should fit in a small box. Larger orders will require a medium box.
Shipping Charges: for the "Small" flat rate box. (In US Dollars)
Domestic: $5.35
Canada and Mexico: $12.45
All Others: $14.59
Shipping Charges: for the "Medium" flat rate box. (In US Dollars)
Domestic: $11.19
Canada and Mexico: $28.19
All Others: $45.45
If you wish to have insurance on your package it is your responsibility to choose the amount and look up the cost to add. You must add this to your PayPal payment and in the comments explain you paid for insurance and how much. We cannot be held responsible for your package once accepted at the post office and we have a receipt of shipment if it is not insured.
Post with the quantity of each kit you wish in this thread. Please do not post questions or your thoughts in the Co-Op thread. Start a new thread in the correct area for these. Co-Op threads are strictly for people requesting orders. If you later wish to change your quantity please post again clearly stating that this is an update to a previous order and how many you wish it to be now.

If I am understanding the wireless properly, I would need 1 TXRX to transmit to 1 universe and EXRX boards for each LE? I also assume a case is not included in the #2 kit.

You are correct. The case is extra (and part of kit #5). With your order you will have 1 TX/RX with all parts, PCB, and ENCLOSURE (because you ordered #2 and #5). You also ordered your multiple order of EX/RX that go inside the Lynx Expresses and other wireless devices (such as the DMX tester, etc.)

No...
#2 is a multi-function device. It can be configured as a transmitter --OR-- it can be configured as a receiver. The enclosure is the same, regardless of how you jumper/configure the device.

Yeah, unfortunately (or perhaps this fortunately for the robustness of the group) the EX/RXs went very quick. I allowed it to stay open longer than I normally would just to try to get some of the stragglers in and I had to close it last night for fear of completely busting the limits set by the COOP rules. I will keep you on a waiting list (if you want me to) in case anyone decides to drop their Kit 4 orders.

Kurt please post the final prices in the thread for future reference for those who were not in this coop. I still have not built all the ones from last year so I am not in this coop.
I am very much against doing this, since our final numbers were much higher than the 50 that were initially quoted. Stated another way, we got a very good discount on the EX/RXs because we will be ordering so many of them (3 X expected) and this will in turn incur savings more than expected. The next COOP for wireless may have less than this or more than this.

Your caveat on not expecting the same prices is correct. I have paid more and less than these in previous coops. But it serves to give people some idea of what could happen in a coop. It also helps me when I decided to quit using some piece of equipment and need to figure out what I paid for it when I got it. Maybe I just need to improve my record keeping - LOL. And I have been trying to do that better this last year.

I have a verbal for payment on one of the two outstanding payments. The other has not responded yet. If I do not hear from the other person by Friday, I will be releasing their order to the waiting list. ALL orders are accounted for (so no need for additional people to request additional orders for the folks who have or may backout of the COOP.)
This will all be settled by Friday 3/2/2001 @ 7pm EST.
If you are on the waiting list, I will PM you guys whether we are able to fulfill your request and any payments you will need to make -- in other words, you are in or you are out of this COOP. These will go out this weekend (most likely).
So far the long pole is the enclosure order -- which has been made -- and is due to me by 3/16. I do not see any major back orders for Mouser, however, I have yet to make that order, because I am waiting for the final payments and waiting list folks to work out by this weekend.
I will also have the final numbers for the cost of everything which I know pretty well already, however, some adjustments may be made in your favor. If refunds are due, these will come after everything is ordered, and ready to ship. Also, some refunds may come as I compress some of the orders into smaller boxes (the small flat rate box) that I thought would only fit into Medium flat rate boxes. Again, I will know better when the orders are sorted and prepared for shipping. Then and only then, will I be ready to apply any refunds to the COOP group.

Came home from Lenten services at church and found four boxes from Mouser on my door step (and two from Triaxal Labs -- my animated skulls for Halloween! Woohoo!) I will update my last update to reflect receipt of all parts from mouser.
Now we just need PCBs (which should arrive by the 15th) and the enclosures (which should arrive by the 18th).

Will you be shipping the part only orders separately or all at once?

I will be shipping each order grouped how the member ordered them. I will not break shipments into parts. You will receive a single box (either small or medium flat rate) based on how it packs.
I will be shipping them in the order in which I received the request (meaning First In - First Out), with the exception of those that may have parts only orders (or assuming the PCBs come in before the enclosures -- those who did not order enclosures). Trust me, I don't want all this equipment in my house longer than it needs to be! LOL

All,
Note that when you are unpacking your parts for both the EX/RX and TX/RX static sensitive parts (the stuff in the anti-static silver bag), that there will be a smaller wrapped anti-static bag (another silver bag) that contains JUST the radio chip. Don't think this is padding, trash, or an extra anti-static bags that I am just filling in your bag for the heck of it. It is the chip for your radio to work! Please unpack carefully, since this could easily be mistaken for trash.

17 more boxed that will go out tomorrow. Please make sure to double check my packing job. My in-laws are visiting and many times I am being distracted (I won't blame my Mother in law, but...LOL) and I seriously don't want anyone to have the let-down of missing things.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDERS WHEN YOU RECEIVE THEM!!! I cannot stress this enough. I have already had one dumb packing job by myself and sent out the fix today. I truly was distracted a lot while packing, which is not a good thing. Make sure to check that you received all your wall warts if you ordered TX/Rx parts (every kit 1 and kit 2 should include a wall wart power supply). Make sure you got all your PCBs (I have no extras after packing them all, so I am probably good with that one). Make sure you have all your parts as well. I didn't end up with extra kits, so I probably actually got that one right as well -- meaning after fixing the issue with pk's order (sorry PK).

8 more shipped today. 57 of 61.
The last four of you guys will have to wait a tad longer. One, I am waiting for a US address for before shipping (they did not want to ship internationally). The other three are victims of a shipping snafu that I had for PK. I sent him the wrong parts (TX/RX parts instead of EX/RX parts). Unfortunately, I need those parts to complete the three orders of these poor members who were at the tail end of the COOP. Once those parts come in, I will get them boxed and shipped immediately.

We could expand the boxes later to some haute couture outfits such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstroms. For those who have spouses with less expensive tastes we can offer, JC Pennys, Macys, and Dillards. If you are female and trying to hide from your husband we will include a full line of feminine hygiene box lines that will guarantee that the snooping spouse will NEVER touch.

The update for the unlucky 4 is that I they will ship on Monday at the soonest (I fly back home this coming Sunday from my trip). That will -- most likely mean you will be seeing them show up next week (wednesday) or so. All refunds are issued. You all should have received (or are receiving for you unlucky 4) your orders and have your refunds via paypal.
The gross accounting was the following:
Total Received $7,202.14
Total Spent $6,724.75 (this includes the $191.70 for overcharge on the EX/RX boards @ $1.35 each)
Total for Refund $ 477.39
I ended up refunding $191.70 total for the people ordering EX/RX boards (142 boards @ $1.35) and $477.39 to the entire COOP membership (for overages in Paypal fees, shipping, etc -- key thing to remember is that when we asked for you to pay, we only had an estimate of what it all was gonna cost. This represents the actuals against the estimate and the delta between the two is the refund to you all.)
If anyone really wants the gory details of the COOP, I will gladly provide my accounting to them. Now it is time to relax! LOL
