Title: pickit3 error

Dear sir...
                i am using pickit3..and having d prblm of this error PK3Err0045...

 PICkit 3 detected Connecting to PICkit 3...
Running self test...
Self test passed Firmware Suite Version...... 01.26.33
Firmware type......................dsPIC30F
Downloading AP...
AP download complete Firmware Suite Version...... 01.23.22
Firmware type......................Midrange
PICkit 3 Connected.
The PICkit 3 is missing its Device Database.
Please reconnect to the PC and try again.
 PK3Err0045:
You must connect to a target device to use PICkit  3.

Please sir tell me solve this prblm...

Is the pickit3 plugged into a pic adapter board?

Select the micro controller PIC18F1220

example adapter board from j1.sys but others can be used

Make sure you have 5VDC to the chip.
