Hey All....
I was getting some rolls of the dumb STRIPS out of the trunk tonight....finally some time to work on things....
Apparently they dont like to flexed in a cold climate.......
These are IP68 rated. Dont remember where I got these from.
Once on my bench, they warmed up and are fully pliable. Just be cautious when handeling them in the cold weather.....
I dont think there will be problem for those in the warmer climates......

All I can say is WOW. I hope that these didn't come from Ray. What junk!!
-
Just curious, any idea what the outside temperature was?

I would prefer that you go back and modify the title of your first post to say dumb strips and not dumb stings. I got worried when I saw the title of this thread since I do have dumb strings, but what you have posted does not apply to my stings.

34 degrees outside.....and I am sorry.... just finished working on strings when I went to get my strips.....my bad
-
were they bent in the process of moving them? or were you trying to work on them in the cold?
i was just curious how little force it took for that to happen?
also, were they salvageable?
-
I would have expected them to be a little stiff, but wow... That's just bad.
Thanks for sharing.

From the pictures, they look to be strips with 'silicone coating' and not the 'silicone tubing' other strips have including the smartstring flex listed in the wiki.
