The Porch / Back after 2.5 years.......
« on: November 11, 2011, 08:49:27 am »
hello ladies and gentlemen,

Well, its been 2.5 years and I see alot has changed. I want to apologize for anything I have done and anyone I hurt my first time around. I was acting very childlike and needed to grow up. I have since done so and I hope everyone will accept my apology!

I am planning on getting back into the lighting scene some. I would like to do some small lighting at the firehouse and probably wont do it this year but deffinitally nexy year. I cant wait to get back into it and see what RJ has been up to!

Happy Veterans day!

Sale/Trade / SSr4's for sale
« on: May 31, 2009, 07:41:00 pm »
I have 15 SSR's for sale. They are 95% complete and ready to be used! They are in the SSR only mode. The only thing they are missing is the 3 pin jumper that moves it from SSR to controller mode. I would like $10 apiece for them. The PCB's were bought in COOP and the parts from mouser. If you buy all 15 I will include shipping and paypal for free ($150 for them all)

Pm or E-mail me.

P.S. they are brand new never used.

Get them from Randy if he does not plan to use them to help him out. But I do have them.

No fireworks Ben! You promised!   ;D

RJ

In that case I don't need them.  You would have liked the design I came up with. Since the software doesn't have "safety features" I emplemented them in the way of hardware using diodes and transistors. There needs to be a full on signal not just a power glitch to activate it.

Oh well, back to the Renards!!

As most of you know I had to put this project on the back burner long enough to get the Lynx Express and my show done.  There is no problem with the wireless but the priotities had to shift for the moment. I will be back on it as soon as the Express and the show is done.

RJ

not to both but..........

are you running wireless in the show??

RJ You are a Man after my own heart a BIG YES to the Tank Love that idea. Of course my front yard is tiny so the tank will consume most of it. RJ where do you place your controllers ?

Kylec great idea on the different screw heads. I am just wondering how to secure it to the ground Metal Stakes ? Not sure whats the best way. Dig holes and pour concrete ? I like concrete but not sure the wife will go for it. If I drive posts into the ground I wont get them out very easily.

One idea I have is to build a box with a back door and make it look like a stack of presents "part of the display" and "hide" the controller's inside and somehow secure the box down maybe tent stakes ?

I may be too paranoid but we have kids in this neighborhood that look for anything to tear up for no reason at all.

Well, I am going to take some PVC valve covers (the ones with the green tops) and bury some 1 1/2" PVC pipe 2 feet or so into the ground and I will mount a PVC and pressure treated frames with controllers on it. My boxes get screwed using the mounting holes and I padlock each one with a small padlock.

Well, my plan for this year is a frame made out of pressure treated wood that hold the enclosures vertical and is stacked in the ground with 2x2's. I will then padlock each individual enclosure. I am not worried about vandals because we live in a pretty save neighboor hood. I am also putting up "candy canes" that are striped with red duct tape and pounded into the ground and white lights strung between them that will be off/dim during the show but go infront and to the side of the yard.
