Too bad these are a different protocol chip WS2811. Could be very interesting if they made these with the TM1804 and at 12V.

Didn't get a notification either. I set it up for the very purpose of getting in a coop this time. Oh well, it's early in the year.

Found an Angry Birds display. More of sound effects and blinky than playing the game

Impressive hardware list but I though I was going to stroke out watching this video.

Lynx Smart String / Re: trying to program smart strings
« on: December 18, 2011, 11:10:37 pm »
The green led on the hub is a power indicator for the hub, it won't do anything while programming the SSCs. Remember you need to have the programmer jumper on the SSCs shunted. Once programmed the lights should flash white. Remove the programming jumper and cycle power to the SSCs. You should now be able to control the strings. Suggest you try the color picker tool or the channel tester in vixen to verify your pixel strings are working.

With the great suggestions from everyone I got the strings working. Unfortunately I did 3-4 things at once so not sure what fixed it.

I reflowed every solder joint on the hub, reprogrammed all the pics, built a second dongle, swapped cat5 & USB cables.

So far I have programmed 3 of 5 strings. So cool to finally have blinks/flashy.

I owe many DLA members a favorite beverage!
