I can assure those who are willing to help that it is assembled correctly, having managed an electronic manufacturing company for nearly 20 years. I am hoping someone else has encountered this same error.

I have my completed etherdongle that I finally built from the 1st co-op. I sourced the correct 49.9ohm resistors and assembled. I am coming up with an error upon trying to program. I am getting the message "Ensure proper capacitance on VDDCORE/VCAP pin. This is pin 85 on the PIC chip. I have checked the capacitors and have the correct 0.1 uf and 10.0 uf capacitors from ground to pin 85. Am I missing some big thing here or is there a chance that I have a damaged PIC chip?  any help would be appreciated.

I will take the V2, give me a price for a regular envelope or padded envelope. I would like to build one up as backup. That was my biggest fear going into this years show was that the one part I didn't have a backup of would die. One more week and I am in the clear.

Lynx USB DMX Dongle / Re: Windows XP help
« on: November 21, 2014, 10:39:31 am »
Yes he has. He has successfully gotten the drivers set up onto his laptop with windows 7, but he will not be able to dedicate that one to the show as it goes to classes with him each day. The link for the drivers is dead and we are having troubles with the FTDI driver install for the earlier windows systems

Lynx USB DMX Dongle / Windows XP help
« on: November 21, 2014, 09:37:09 am »
Please toss me a life preserver. We are hoping to use an older XP system kicking around the house to run our show. I am up against a time crunch as I am leaving the country on business for 2 weeks. My college age son has tried to get the drivers onto the computer to operate the dongle with no success. I hope to have it running by no later than Saturday night. We are doing a lights only display this first year since I was too slow getting an FM transmitter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Time got away from me

The sequence was all done in the C code prior to compiling and loading the hex file into the PIC. Unfortunately they were a little spendy to build. Nobody wants to pay what they cost to make.  If I load our labor into them we are at about $45 each. Done as a labor of love on a small scale to give to our suppliers and customers. We figured it would be remembered longer than a box of chocolates a bottle of wine
