Oh ok .. no, when i saw his videos and read sum stuff i was under the impression that he didnt like us changing things around...AT ALL, especially caz from what he said, things get complicated/confusing and ppl might not be able to help you.Besides, the man came up with the design and brought it to life.. and i wouldnt want to change it if he didnt like that, JUST OUT OF RESPECT you know.

The reason why i wanna put an XLR connector is because,I really dont know if i would be able to make an adapter, and i am afraid to purchase one from online and have it Not work, because the wires are connecting to different pins internally, you get what i m saying???

Mike, If you have used these adapters please tell me more about it. as in where and what did you use it for, obviously if it worked out or not..

And if its not too much trouble would you be able to tell me more about how do i go about doing what i want to do.. which is just put an xlr connector as oppose to the Rj-45?? thanks you sir, for you input. :)

The range depends... it operates in the 2.4Ghz range, which is used for all kinds of things, the most popular being wifi...

Each of the three selectable universes is on a different freq, so if you get poor performance on one, you can try using a different one.

HOW to we change it IF one freq is not working too well... ?/

Hey Alan,

Bro,i was wondering if you ever ended up testing this?? if so, would you mind posting results. My thoughts are to use a regular 9v Battery, That falls in the 7.5 to 18v range. Do you know/think that will work?? i would test it myself and just figure it out but, i still dont have the unit on hand..its on its way !! :) cant wait to assemble and Test it!!!

Dennis.

Hey Guys is it possible to just put a XLR connector on the RX/TX instead of the RJ-45? ALSO is this considered changing his design? if it is, then i wont do it,i will just try to get an adapter  caz  i know RJ doesnt want us to change his designs. i was wondering if thats even possible. caz i have this old chauvet dmx controlar laying around in my garage and i wanna use that to  program sum basic lights i have.

Sorry about that bro, i think u can just Google it and you will find it, i included a link below anyways.. I dont have this wirelss RX/TX YET so i cant be too sure if it works caz i dont know how RJs cables in the connectors are setup. i dont even know if it matters or not so maybe you might want to ask ppl here to see  if it will work, before you order it and waste ur money. Again like as i said i m a total rookie here...

Well Asterix if the lynx wireless dmx is capable of taking the signal From ANY controller and transmit it to the receiver, then  what you are looking for boss is ... a Male 3pin XLR to rj-45

I Still am rookie so i cant be sure if the Cables coming out of the 3 pin are connecting to the corresponding pins on the cat5 side... So i would say maybe you should just build this cable urself.. get a 3pin male connector, Rj45 connector with cable and.. look at wire diagram.. in wiki i will try to see if i can find anything... Good luck boss.

Also one of the user Mike ()

gave me this info... hopefully it helps you aswell

From the wiki:
  XLR pin 1 not connected
XLR pin 2 to RJ45 pin 2 (usually orange)
XLR pin 3 to RJ45 pin 1 (usually white with orange stripe)
(Note that this is the same for 3 and 5 pin XLRs.  Don't worry about XLR pins 4 and 5 as they aren't used in regular DMX)

Thanks guys, thats the same conclusion i reached. about 2 hours ago i had no clue what chip are we supppose to program or whats connecting where.. sum youtube videos, some reading help out a bit and i figured out first i would have to assemble the board and then connect the pickit2 (just came in today only if i knew about pickit3 before RM oh well) to ICSP "jack" on the board and u flash the program on the board using one of the loading programs right?? i have Pickit2 and i think it comes with a program should i just use that or use the one from the two that PK mentioned? PK any suggestion?

So i was confused about how do we program the chip...i dont have the board so i figured maybe i can get the programming out of the way but from what i learned from reading its done after the assembly am i correct? Sorry guys i m like completely NEW to this..i have no clue whats what lol. i m just posting to confirm that the programming of the Chip has to be done after the board is assembled.

Keith Thanks for the Input sir, and yes i read that part so when i placed the order for the part i also order the pickit  device so i think i should be good as far programing goes..i m gonna go into the help section for that and start figuring out how to program it till RJ reads my PM and send it to me... oh boi, i can not wait....i hope he sees it soon lol. with my damn luck i live on the east side so its gonna take a while for it to get here from him lol. thats assuming he has a pair for me lol. hey do you know how do i make the payment for his boards? i just asked him in the PM too but if you already know and dont mind sharing.. i would appreciate it boss..
