Perfect, that's what I needed to know. I also went on xLights and watched some of the videos. As soon as I finish taking the show down I'll take a picture of my house and start creating the elements so I can import the LOR sequences. Thanks

Thanks for input Caretaker, if I understand you correctly, I can import my LOR sequences into Xlights and from Xlights run my show using the combination of express controllers and RGB controllers of my choice IE the Falcon V3. After the conversion I would just have to delete my roof line in Xlights and then replace it with the RGB sequencing for each song. Is that correct? For Xlights would I still be able to use the same Lynx USB dongle?

Five years ago, I started a traditional display and now it’s time for some upgrades. My current display has 136 channels using the Lynx Express controllers, Lynx USB dongle, LOR Advanced Edition software and running off my show laptop.
I would like to start moving into the RGB direction. I thought I would start slow and for next year convert just my roof line to RGB.
My question is this: What do I need to make the conversion? I want to continue to use the LOR software simply because I don’t want to re-sequence my songs.
Keep in mind I’m not a computer guru so let’s keep this simple and use the guide “RGB for Dummiesâ€!!
Here's my simple 2017 show. Mother nature here in the Pacific NorthWest blessed us this year with a White Christmas. This is the first time we have been able to watch the show covered in a little bit of snow.

That's the thing, the load only consist of two strands of incandescent 100 count mini lights. Very small load. I'm not sure what would have caused that much damage. This is my 5th year with the same load on that channel. It controls a portion of my mega tree and all the other channels have the load.

Lynx Express / Triac Repair

Had a couple of Triac's stuck in the ON position. When I turned the board over to replace the triac the damage was worst then I anticipated. In the picture the trace is attached but sticking up in the air. As you can see a portion of the board has been burnt leaving a small hole. It appears the other two legs have not been damaged. Can I repair this by soldering the trace back onto the triac leg or is this channel toast!!

I started in 2011. 100% LE's and a dongle. Still 100% LE's and a dongle. I haven't made the jump to RGB and I still get plenty of visitors and thank you notes. People just love to watch the lights dance.

Has anyone tried to replace the clear glass on a 250W Halogen work light with colored glass and use for color washing? I know the Aether is available with multiple colors but if I just want to color wash with one color can I just replace the high temperature glass on my work light with similar high temperature colored glass?

You can run the LE's with the LOR software. That's what I'm doing and it works great. That's if you want, nothing against XLights I just always used the LOR software.
