I am staying with a mixture of DMX and RGB and buy Expresses here when they come available. They do come for sale fairly often and I have never had a failure out of 14 controllers.

Yes I've tried. They are on dim all the time, except when the seqeunce tells them to come on. They run but go back to a dim state and not off. The board LEDs do not show this. Does that make sense? I know what you speak of and usually if a channel stays on, I can go to Xlights and turn off the channel in question. Nothing happens in this case. They basically stayed dim all night. Sorry, just haven't seen this before.

Lynx Express / Weird problem(RESOLVED)

Hey guys. I have one Express V5 that has been in operation for 5 years. I have 3-4 sets of 100 leds plugged into 12 of the 16 ports and all of them are leaving the lights on dim all the time. When the sequences play, they work fine, but always only go off to a dim level. Suggestions?

UPDATE:
After trying multiple things, including, plugging incandescent lights in the outputs, changing out cat5 cables, changing the order of the daisy chain between my expresses to no avail, I finally found the problem. I even tried swapping out another express in it's place and got the same result. I was stumped and gave up and let it go for the last 2 weeks. Needless to say, it bothered me immensely. We put too much work to not have it work properly.
Well...this morning I woke up and said to myself, what haven't I tried? I had 4 expresses running off one 12 gauge cord. I removed the one in question and plugged a cord direct from an outlet and the lights went out. Maybe with having several plugged together it wasn't getting quite enough power to turn off the lights? That I'm not sure, but I am sure it is now working perfectly.
