Looking for one of these clocks. I collect clocks have over 200 of them. Either one built or a kit I can build.

This is a interesting hobby.  Can you share pics of our collection?
Sure I'll get some together for ya.

There is no order in the proper implantation of DMX.  The controllers will respond to the channels that they are configured to work with regardless of where they are in the string.  I'm not sure about the current Renard units, but the older ones did not use the proper implementation of DMX and even though they could read DMX, they still altered the data stream which is NOT what DMX devices are supposed to do so if you have any Renard devices in your string, make sure that they are at the end of it.
I use the falcon f16v2r DMX port to run the Lynx expresses

The channels do not become inactive, but duplicate the data.  However if nothing is connected on them then their is no problem.  I never compress the channels, just keep them available for spares/backups/expansion.
Thank you I had a feeling it would work fine just wanted to double check. I'm also assuming the daisy chaining does not have to be in order ?

I'm using the Lynx for my singing faces this year.  However two of the faces even though only eight channels each will have a full Lynx designated to it. Can I set the first controller to number 1 and the second controller to number 8. Therefore making channels 9-16 inactive on first controller and channels 17-32 inactive on the second controller

Got one in my shop I would part with, will be traveling for the week, hit me up on Sunday to remind me.

It's built, could use a new battery as last time I checked on it the time was way off from our many power outages in the last year.

sell for kit cost and shipping.

Alan

Lynx Express / Lynx data light stuck
« on: February 27, 2016, 09:04:11 am »
So I have 6 Lynx expresses now. 4 work perfectly. One one of them even if nothing is plugged in the data light stays lit. But the controller functions properly. Something to worry about or no? Second issue is that on one the dmx in and out ports. The dmx im port the data led is very dimly lit and turns all channels on. However if I unplug from dmx in and plug into dmx out the controller functions and recieved data and outputs data to the lights as it should. Just not Outta the dmx in port? Any suggestions for that. Or should I just make it last in line and daisy chain from dmx out on box 5 to dmx out to box 6 and call it a day
