Make sure that you are using the correct firmware for the Zeus and the correct version of the utility. If you use the SSR4 settings in the utility this is exactly what you will get.

I used the Smart String utility Ver.2 Zeus is the only option the SSC choice will not select. is there a different version?

that one should be ok. Where did you get the firmware for the chips and what settings are you using in the utility?

Which version of xLights? 3.3.2? I know of one person who had that exact problem with 3.3.2. He installed 3.3.1 and it worked.

Going back to nutcracker 3.3.1 worked I now have a working Zeus, Thank you JonB

If you get a chance, try going back up to 3.3.2. It should work now.
