NOTE: Before anyone misinterprets my intent here: this is an opinion topic, not a demand or request to change ANYTHING or to take up any of RJ's important time. This is posted to "the porch", not the Aeon area for a reason- it is purely a discussion topic- a topic of interest to me and maybe others .
I was very tempted to get in on the Aeon Coop but I was brought up short by a concern. It seems to me that the green LEDs that indicate minutes and seconds should be on the OUTSIDE of the numbers not inside the red hour hand indicators. On a normal (flawed) analog clock, the second and minute hands are longer than the hour hands (which is not very logical if you try to explain that to a youngster learning to read an analog clock). Granted the way RJ designed it, it IS more logical, but it is contrary to standard customs. The red LEDs are beautifully placed, the green ones buck standard convention.
I was curious about that- was it:
a. We like it that way
b. We were trying to buck common trends,
c. it was easier to lay out that way
d. That is how the green LEDS layed out right next to each other and not have space between them.
e. We never noticed or thought of that before
f. none of the above.
g. All of the above. ;-)
