First, I want to say thanks for running the coop.  Well done!!!

But mainly I want to let those in the coop know that they should check the CF Card Adapter connection to the PCB.  I have found that 3 of the 5 i received had problems, so I am guessing others will as well.  I started a thread on it here.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Not trying to be an alarmist here with several posts on this, just want to save everyone in the coop future headaches if I can.

All  check this before assembling your conductor.  It appears there are some issues with the PCBs and the surface mounted chip.
One day I will fly out of the fog and all of this will be seen clearly!

If you are touching up with an iron and not warming on a hot plate, then you should not need any flux.  Looks like the majority of the issue was not enough heat....so the paste is still intact...just need a couple seconds with a pencil tip at about 600-625*.....

First of all thx for doing all of this work!
Now I have a question - along with the salve kit there was an audio jack.  Was this a mistake?  I didn't think that the slave unit needed one of those!

The Slave is exactly the same but without  (clock, battery, mp3 module, header.)  straight from RJ.

I guess that I am dense, but w/o a MP3 module, what is feeding the headphone jack on the Slave bd?

Need to ask this on the slave Thread, but the slave does not have an mp3 board because it is meant to be used as a "slave" so that other media can be used ie. Video. Firmware is not ready yet, still in beta.

ok, so master/slave has seperate sequence data that stays in sync, but what if they both need the same audio?

Can we get a mp3 board and add it?

My original post was concerning an audio jack which was included in the SLAVE kit from this coop!   So what I am trying to find out (unsuccessfully) is whether or not this jack should be wired onto the SLAVE board.  Just a simple yes or no will answer this
