I like lead in my solder. Smooth soldering that way. Never did like the way lead free flows.

I've got one the same way. Opto didnt help . Turns out to be the triac. We had a good spell of wet weather and might have shorted a cord. The LE board was good and dry. This is the seond one in two years, not bad i guess.

check your connections of the wire antenna carefully. i had some poor solder joints on the connector. i can get almost two blocks with a wire. all the fcc will allow.

Been using the EDMDesign also with no problems at all. Great unit but order ASAP. Takes a little while.

I just have the squeeze bulb. I heat with an iron and then blow it through. Sometimes I save a few of the leads that get cut off and hold them with pliers and heat the pad and run the lead through the hole several times to remove some solder then blow it out.
