Extra Parts from Conductor & Slave CoOp
« on: November 10, 2012, 09:05:00 pm »
I apologize up front if this has been asked an answered, but I couldn't find this mentioned on the forum.

I finished building both the Conductor and the Slave and I seem to have extra parts.  Each unit came with a 1/8 audio jack and a 2 pin header socket.  The Conductor build instructions tell you how to hook up the 1/8" audio jack but the Slave build instructions do not.  From other posts I am assuming this was an extra piece included with the Slave.

But what is the 2 pin header socket for?  Neither build instructions mention it and I don't see any place to install it on the board.  Was it included just in case someone didn't install it on the EtD?

I thought the 2 pin header/socket was for the conductor to get power from the EtherDongle?

Myk

there are two different two pin header - one you solder onto the conductor for the power pins and a second one that doesn't seem to have a home the second one has two small pins on one side and sockets on the other side.

Thanks.  I always get worried when I end up with extra parts.   ;D
