EtherDongle coop question
« on: July 02, 2013, 06:10:45 pm »
I see folks ordering a kit #2 option, but I don't see anything in the coop post for a second option.  Am I missing something?

The #2 kit has the case with the conductor cut outs. Kit #1 has the case with just the ETD cut outs.

Pasted from the top of the COOP Page:

Kit 1 - Etherdongle with Case that has Etherdongle cutouts.
Kit 2 - Etherdongle with Case that has Etherdongle and Conductor cutouts.

Even if you're not adding a conductor now, but eventually plan on adding one, you should choose option #2

kit#1 has three holes cut out.

ethernet rj45 in,
pixelnet rj45 out
and power

kit#2 has extra holes cut into the case for people planning on adding the conductor.
ethernet rj45 in,
pixelnet rj45 out
and power
plus...
for the memory card, and audio (someone can correct me if there are more holes.
To rule the entire tri-state area!  What's that? Perry the Platypus!!!

Kit 2 is not a done deal yet.  The company does not have drawings for the conductor cutouts so I have to work with them to see about getting it done.  I also have to see how much cost it adds.

Ok, that's just strange.  When viewing the post from Tapatalk, the updated option for Kit 2 didn't show up.  Sorry for the stupid question.  I can see the option when logged in via the computer.

What do you mean! Cost is no object! GET IT DONE!  >:D LOL Just kidding. I was going to say that, but am hoping that you are able to get it done reasonably! Thanks for running the coop Todd!
