V1, V2 Zeus16 parts difference?
« on: June 14, 2014, 10:20:37 pm »
If I have a V1 Zeus board that I haven't gotten around to building yet and would like to build the V2 instead. In addition to the V2 pcb, what additional parts would I need, and would it be practical???

You would need 16 8 pin headers, 3 8 pin sockets, 3 485's, 3 2 pin headers, 3  termination resistors, and 19 jumper caps.  While not expensive, it would only be practical if you need the abilities of the Ver 2 Zeus because you would be wasting a good ver 1 board if the Ver 2 ability to set the universe by port is not really needed in your configuration.
If at first you don't succeed,
your not cut out for sky diving

Thanks for the great advice, since I don't need to set the universe by port it would be a waste for me to go through the added expense and extra work for a feature that for me is unnecessary.
