BobCat DMX Servo Programming
« on: September 23, 2014, 04:20:36 pm »
Hello Everyone,

I'm currently out of town and I'd like to program a couple of these boards to different DMX addresses this evening. The only DMX dongle I have is an Enttec USB DMX Pro. I do have my PicKit3. When I've tried to use the config utility over the Enttec, I never get the confirmation LED flashes that the programming was successful and the controller doesn't seem to respond to any DMX channel. Is this because of the DMX Dongle I'm using? Is there a way that I can get these programmed with what I have?

Any assistance would be very appreciated.

 Dave

I know there is info on the Lynx devices for programming the DMZ address directly on the pIC:

But I'm not sure if the same information exists for the Bobcat Servo Controller.

I found out something strange. I just did the Program over and over through the DMX Pro and eventually it worked. So I guess frustrated desperation succeeded!

Sometimes it's just a matter of timing or synchronization between the dongle and the device.
If at first you don't succeed,
your not cut out for sky diving
