programming a spiral tree.
« on: November 12, 2016, 06:34:25 pm »
I just built my first spiral tree and can't seem to get the right effect of a spiral. I have tried ramp down and on. I am hoping someone can get me a screen shot of what it should look like.
I am running 16 channels and may go to 32 for white red green
Thanks

ok, I'm assuming you have strings on your tree mounted in a spiral.

What effect do you want to do?   as in what do you want it to look like?

I want to do the two spiral, the opposite spiral, and just make it look good like all of the ones on youtube. I think I may have built the tree wrong but this is my third attempt. I am running a single strand of 50. Right now there are only 8 strands on the tree. Still need to add the other 8. The tree is 6 feet tall with a base around 4 ft.

I've never built a spiral tree, but from the looks of the green wires. It looks like it's in a perfect spot.

I thought you were asking how to sequence it in the software.

Here's what mine looks like in HLS. My tree is 16 100 light strings wrapped twice...10 feet tall.

2011 - Year #1
    4000 lights and 16 channels
    5 Songs sequenced
2012 - Year #2
    5000 lights and 123 channels
    8 Songs sequenced

Thank you Thank you Thank you. After many frustrating hours of trying to figure it out myself, with Dan's screen shot my spiral tree is now spiraling. Yea
