Aether number 2 built and it is not talkng to the dongle

Hello everyone my journey continues....

I have just finished number 2 and it won't communicate with the dongle.  The green led does not come on.  I have run the diagonstic hex file and all of the LED's flash in the three colors and then reflashed the pic with the Aether hex file. I have confirmed that the dongle works becasue it will comunicate with the first Aether.   I have checked that the center pin of the cable wireless is linked to pin 17 of pic.  I have checked that pin 2 and 3  of the 485 is hooked to pin 15 of the pic.

Suggestions?

You said the pins are connected to the pic but first off, is the jumper on for cable?  Jumper on for OPER?

Are the CAT5 connectors soldered in and with no bridges? 

Have you tried both CAT5 connectors to see if one is just not connecting right?


Place to start, but Pics are always good

Well it was the pic.  I retouched the pins with the solder iron and it now works fine.  I guess the lesson learned is to not be so quick with the coking to make sure all of the joints are heated properly
