LED lighting prices to plung by 2015

While that seems likely to apply to household lighting, I don't think it applies to the RGB/LED lighting we are involved with.  If anything, with the ever slowly Yuan creeping up in value and the dollar dropping, pricing for our items would likely be headed up, not down.  Labor costs in China have gone up 20-30% in the last year.  There is also the issue of commodity prices - going forward, commodities are going to just keep going up as the level of worldwide consumption and resource depletion continues.

I agree with your comments dmoore.  I know from business associates in China that labor rates are increasing and the US$ is loosing value compared to the Yuan.

The basis for cheaper LED lighting discussed was economies of scale and improvements in the manufacturing process.  Economical profit maxmizing mass production is based on quality control (e.g., pharmaceuticals, televisions, soda pop bottling, etc.) 
I agree that the Yuan and copper will not help; maybe the prices won't drop in US$ terms.
