Just a thought, but could a better name be created than "slave"?

Is there some reason for wanting to change the name?  Slave is used extensively in electronics design as something that jsut follows orders from another device, no processing, just a follower.  There is no social meaning attached to this.

Are we trying to be politically correct here?  LOL  I vote for slave.  The master/slave terminology has been used in the electronics industry for years.  However the city of Los Angeles had problems with this terminology in 2003 See: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

How about Specialized Lynx Auxiliary Verbatim Electronics?

even with using the "been in electronics terminology for years" idea, there is no master here. just EtherDongle and Slave.

I just think it could use a more creative name.
