Version 5 war chest
« on: March 13, 2012, 06:06:44 pm »
Hello All, I now have 9 Lynx Express controllers built and need to order 1 LED and 1 47K resistor. I was wondering what other spare parts might be a good idea to have on hand in case something goes wrong during next years lighting season?

I would get a few optos also.

In addition to the triacs, I have spares of the ST485, and the MOC3023.  If you have a PicKit 2 or 3, a spare processor is always good to have around.

I just placed an order like that with everything above and then some.  The LED's were hard to come by and the one's I did get were not the same.  Luckily I had one from RS that was.  Fuses and 2700pf caps are about the only other thing.  The cap is an item that is known to get toasted while soldering to close to the board.

The item that got me at show time was a push button switch.
I pushed it too hard and broke it. Could not find one locally anywhere.
