Cool songs for Halloween 2012
« on: July 31, 2012, 05:18:06 pm »
Similar to Steve's Gase's thread on cools songs, I'd thought I start this one, but with a Halloween Theme.

So what are the cool Halloween songs that you are sequencing for Halloween 2012.

I've sequenced the following:

1. Ghostbusters:

Was thinking some of the transitions in dubstep might be cool for halloween. Something like one of these from Skrillex

Actually I don't think the Marilyn Manson version is that far from the original. I like the Marilyn Manson version just as much  :)

Danny Elfman from the Nightmare before Christmas is the original.

The Overture from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera is kind of neat. My first year of lighting I used a WinAmp to Renard plug-in somebody came up with and just played the song - no sequencing (basically a color organ).

Now we're getting somewhere...   ;D

Bet you never heard this one either (my favorite take on the hearse song): You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Although I play family oriented Halloween stuff for TOT when it is still light out, I really prefer frightening music for Halloween.  I think that's what is all about...

Since you guys are part of my extended holiday family I will give you some of my favorite tunes I think would work well for sequencing and walk right down the line between of frightful and family…

If I ever do a singing pumpkin, this is the first tune I’d do: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Giant pumpkin singing lead with 4 smaller pumpkins signing backup?: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Classic but often forgotten: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

No vocals: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Another no vocals: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Later when it gets dark…

It’s a mix of: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and

Sam, who is happy he flashed his etherdongle with newest firmware!

Anyone made any progress on either the Skrillex or Marlyn Mansion songs?

I used Thriller as bed music to make announcements - stay off the grass, come back for Christmas, etc.  I converted my non-RGB sequences from last year to RGB: Addams Family, Grim Grinning Ghosts, X-Files, Ghost Whisperer theme.  I added the Evil Theme from Nightmare Before Xmas and the Phantom Overture.

Had lots of positive comments from kids and adults alike!
