After you install the conductor (or slave) and then add the appropiate firmware.
Can you still use it from the computer (like a regular EtheDongle)?
This might be useful for testing purposes.

You can control the conductor through the conductor console software. Which will allow you to turn stuff on and off. I don't believe you can "talk" directly with the etherdongle with the conductor firmware installed.

I would say that the answer will be no. If that were the case, there would be no need fo seperate firmware as the conductor firmware would do it all. This is why I bought more than one EtherDonge. One will be set us as a conductor and the other will remain an EtherDongle.

Grretings,,,
No. It's one or the other. But you could flash back to the other firmware if needed, then flash back for the conductor.

I had the same question as Chris but wanted clarification.
If I leave the Conductor or slave daughterboard installed, but I re-flash the ED as Pixelnet or DMX, does having the daughterboard installed matter? Or would I need to remove the Conductor and reflash to ED?
I'm putting the Conductor on my "spare" ED.

Greetings,,,
You do not need to remove anything. Just flash the firmware.
